Wolf Family Vineyards offers four wines in artisanal quantities hand made by Karen Culler: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc and Phaedrus, a blend from both St. Helena and Calistoga. A fortuitous combination of the demanding standards of the winemaker and the family’s “no compromises” philosophy results in wine that pleases the collector’s long term palate.

2012 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2012 vintage produced spectacular wines that combine the seductive and powerful fruit characters that makes Napa Valley so famous and the fresh acidity and balanced tannins that will allow the wine to age for 10-20 years. There is no mistaking the Napa Valley pedigree in this wine, with its prominent blackberry and anise aroma and full bodied finish and depth. It is truly the best of both worlds! 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, Estate, 243 cases produced.

2012 Estate Cabernet Franc

The 2012 vintage was textbook Napa Valley and counts itself along with the stellar vintages of the 2009 and 2010 wines. The 2012 Cabernet Franc has a rich texture and mid palate because of the fully mature and meaty tannins. The aromas are anise, blueberry, vanilla, and tobacco. The palate has the distinct oily mid texture characteristic of great Cab Franc. This wine exudes softness on the mid palate and extracted tannins on the finish, which is a luxury only found in Cabernet Franc. 95% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 101 cases produced

2013 Phaedrus Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

The 2013 Wolf Family Vineyards Phaedrus Cabernet Sauvignon is the blend of two excellent vineyards. The new Wolf Family Estate on White Lane in St Helena is a stone's throw away from their Ingelwood Estate vineyard and offers all the same unctuous flavors that St Helena is known for...blackberry, stone fruits, tobacco and a rich but balanced texture.  The second vineyard is the Montgomery Vineyard in Calistoga and gives the wine more of the delicious dark fruit aroma, while the palate is full bodied and with a perfectly balanced acid- tannin profile.  The 20 month barrel aging in French Oak barrels (67% new) gives the wine a toasty and complex aroma that deserves a long cellaring. 800 cases produced.

2014 Estate Sauvignon Blanc

The Wolf Family Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc is picked at a low sugar to maintain freshness and the distinct Sauvignon Blanc varietal aromatics... pear, herbal, mineral and grapefruit aromas. A nice natural acidity livens the palate, and along with the lower alcohol, gives a fresh and unctuous quality to the wine. 100% Sauvignon Blanc, 101 cases produced.
